Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
