Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was reached following an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
